Midwest Book Review

Dr. Rosenberg is a gifted writer and storyteller. Adventure on Joyland Road is marvelous, straightforward, funny, and honest, written with great joy and great sadness but so much wisdom. Even as a seasoned mental health professional, I came to understand more fully that grief is a process, not a pathology. The many important lessons in Dr. Rosenberg's work need to be shared, along with the many truths that are rarely put into words. This is truly a beautiful book.

The sudden, unexpected death of a loved one confronts a survivor with unanswerable questions about life's goodness and fairness, and there are very few resources available to help a survivor regain trust in our world. This is why Dr. Lisa Rosenberg's book, Adventure on Joyland Road, is essential reading for anyone who suddenly lost a loved one or for their family and friends. Dr. Rosenberg's passionate writing draws us into the moment she lost her beloved husband and invites us to accompany her on her journey to healing and wholeness. Her story inspires others to find their way to begin living again.
